Playing with a Macro Lens last night; the flowers were meant to be a gift to loved one but it’s been at least a year since I’ve done any macro and the flowers are just budding around here.
This was shot with a Flash and a Tripod and the Macro settings were set to 1:1; I am not too happy with the lighting but I couldn’t find my off-camera cord (for the Flash) when I needed it last night.

The celebrations at Trafalgar Square were over by the time I stumbled onto it; I took a couple of shots and left. This is one of them.
According to WikiPedia: “Saint Patrick’s Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is a yearly holiday celebrated on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (circa AD 387–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. It began as a purely Catholic holiday and became an official feast day in the early 1600s. However, it has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Ireland’s culture.”
